Organic Ingredients

​1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

10 crimini mushrooms, sliced
1 lg yellow onion, minced
4 celery stalks, sliced thin
4 garlic cloves, minced

1 lg can crushed tomatoes

1 sm can diced tomatoes

1 sm can tomato paste

2 sm cans organic black soy beans- Eden's Organic brand

1 lg green pepper, chopped small

1/4 cup chili powder

2 tbsp smoked paprika

2 tsp cayenne

Pinch red chili flakes

Real Salt & cracked black pepper


In a large pan, saute the ground meats until just starting to brown. Season with S&P, and red chili flakes. Add the mushrooms, onion, celery, and garlic, and cook for another 10 minutes. Add this mixture to a large crockpot, along with all other ingredients, mix well, and cook on low for 8 hours. I always make this the day before, because 2nd day chili is SO, SO, good, but it can also be served right away, or frozen for future meals.
